STEAM BANNED ME FOR NO REASON?!?

I got vac banned… my steam account was hacked, because i got a key logger accidently…. i wasnt even trying to hack steam… Someone stole my account and used cheats with it … i logged on and noticed i was VAC banned! NO VAC SERVERS! I WAS PISSED! i changed the pass word now…….. but im VAC banned… i didnt do anything wrong.. cant i do anything to get this VAC ban lifted? im mad because steam support page says VAC bans are permanent and cannot be lifted under no circumstances…. so im stuck.. because of somthing that wasnt my fault?

To install a ps2 modchip, do you have to disassemble the PS2? If so, how hard is it for tech stupid people to pull off? And is there a high risk of a mod-chip damaging a PS2? Oh, and do some modchips work for the origional PS2s?

Connected my iMac to an ethernet switch, now slow/patchy internet connection?

Today I got an 8 port 10/100 ethernet switch to plug some ip phones into (different room from where the router is). I plugged the network connection from the wall (which runs to the router) into the switch, and plugged the iMac into the switch. Now I am finding that the internet connection works on the Mac, but it is very slow and if it does work it only loads basic sites like google and everything else is very patchy and works on and off, instant messaging won’t connect either. Don’t have the ip phones yet, so I can’t test how they perform.

One of the network cables I have used is the retractable type (about 5 ft long). I bought a few of these to use though I imagine the connection quality from these is bad – could that be a factor?

I’m typing this from the Windows PC in the other room at the moment (hooked directly to the router, and internet connection is fine. Can anyone suggest what the problem is and how I fix it? Can’t have slow and patchy internet or slow and patchy ip phones coming off this switch!
