How can i get my r4i working?

Hi,
About 2 months ago my DSI XL was updated automatically and now my r4i containing all my games will not work on my Nintendo DSI XL. It comes up with a message saying ` An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for details.`

Please tell me how I can use my r4i again.
