How did I get this scar?

I have 2 scars on my forearm, one across my wrist as if I cut, and one from my wrist down to my elbow there is a long scare as if I tried to kill mysel or something. The only problem is that I have never purposely cut myself. Like I have nicked my fingers a few times with a pocket knife or something, but I think I would remember getting a cut across my wrist and on my arm if they were bad enough to scar. The only thing that I think is anything is last year I had depression but never even thought about cutting. Can someone tell me what happened or how the heck they got there? Did I try and kill myself in my sleep or something?
