A California dad has gotten a temporary restraining order against a fourth grader he says threatened his son with a knife at school.

Robert Casteel called the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and they confiscated a small pocket knife from the boy.

He was suspended for five days which Casteel feels is not enough punishment.

He says his 10-year-old son was terrified to go to school.

So, Casteel got the restraining order to keep him safe.

Sheriff’s officials say: they’ve never seen a restraining order against someone so young involving school grounds.

The Riverside County District Attorney is now reviewing the case.

What is your take on this?

Do you feel the school district took this case seriously enough?

Or, was the dad right in taking a zero-tolerance policy and getting that restraining order?

Plz Help! Freaking out. I am 20 wks pregnant and have a hemorrhoid since 16 wks it recently got BIGGER?

I will admit I did not take much care of it because it was so tiny and painless,no bleeding.
My nurse just said to take a stool softener and doctor said apply proctofoam cream. It was a hassle to do so and I applied it a few times but did not take the stool softener etc.

Now 2 days back its become bigger and quite painful. Its not thrombosed because it looks the same.
I am worried bcoz my doctor didnt see it only said its just anhemorrhoid and will be better etc so i keep thinking what if its something else. Its been 4 weeks since its there n now even bigger. I am so scared to go poo.
I am very worried

Has anyone gone thru this. Will it not go thru out pregnancy.

I have always had constipation problems and the day before i got it i had eaten loads of roasted peanuts and the poo was hard.

Through natural selection, different types of eyes have emerged in evolutionary history — and the human eye isn’t even the best one, from some standpoints. Because blood vessels run across the surface of the retina instead of beneath it, it’s easy for the vessels to proliferate or leak and impair vision. So, the evolution theorists say, the anti-evolution argument that life was created by an “intelligent designer” doesn’t hold water: If God or some other omnipotent force was responsible for the human eye, it was something of a botched design.

Biologists use the range of less complex light sensitive structures that exist in living species today to hypothesize the various evolutionary stages eyes may have gone through.

Here’s how some scientists think some eyes may have evolved: The simple light-sensitive spot on the skin of some ancestral creature gave it some tiny survival advantage, perhaps allowing it to evade a predator. Random changes then created a depression in the light-sensitive patch, a deepening pit that made “vision” a little sharper. At the same time, the pit’s opening gradually narrowed, so light entered through a small aperture, like a pinhole camera.

Every change had to confer a survival advantage, no matter how slight. Eventually, the light-sensitive spot evolved into a retina, the layer of cells and pigment at the back of the human eye. Over time a lens formed at the front of the eye. It could have arisen as a double-layered transparent tissue containing increasing amounts of liquid that gave it the convex curvature of the human eye.

In fact, eyes corresponding to every stage in this sequence have been found in existing living species. The existence of this range of less complex light-sensitive structures supports scientists’ hypotheses about how complex eyes like ours could evolve. The first animals with anything resembling an eye lived about 550 million years ago. And, according to one scientist’s calculations, only 364,000 years would have been needed for a camera-like eye to evolve from a light-sensitive patch.

Are there any r4 cards for 3DS?

Are there any r4 cards for the 3DS that can actually play ‘3DS’ roms? I know there are hundreds of r4 cards that can play NDS roms on a 3DS; but I haven’t actually found any that can play 3DS games (examples: LOZ: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 3D land, Starfox 64; 3D). Don’t care if it actually supports the 3D feature, just plays the game.

Would prefer a yes or no from someone that ‘actually’ has/knows someone that does have one instead of just looking it up (I can do that myself, and most of the results were vague).
